Laser Eye Surgery

Three laser methods with one purpose: reshaping the cornea so that light is refracted more precisely and the need for glasses can be reduced. SMILE Pro, LASIK and PRK/LASEK differ in the way the cornea is treated. The choice of method rests on an individual assessment that takes into account, among other things, the thickness of the cornea.

About laser eye surgery

Laser eye surgery reshapes the surface of the cornea to correct short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism – reducing or removing your need for glasses and contact lenses. At EuroEyes we offer a wide range of modern laser methods. The relevant method is established at a free, no-obligation assessment.

The choice of method rests on factors including your prescription, corneal thickness and lifestyle. During the free assessment our specialists use advanced diagnostics to establish which treatment method may be relevant for you – SMILE Pro, LASIK or PRK/LASEK.

Frequently asked questions

Which laser treatment is best for me?

It depends on your prescription and cornea. SMILE Pro, LASIK and PRK/LASEK each have strengths – your assessment will advise.

Is laser eye surgery painful?

No, the laser eye surgery itself does not normally hurt. The eyes are numbed with drops before the treatment, and most people feel little or no discomfort. The experience can, however, vary from person to person.

How quickly will I see?

Most patients notice a dramatic improvement within a day or two.

Is the correction permanent?

Yes – laser reshaping is permanent, though age-related changes can still occur later in life.
