Coming to Denmark for treatment
Patients travel to our Danish clinics from across Scandinavia and further afield. If you are coming from outside Denmark, we can help you plan the visit so it works around your travel.
Treatment normally requires two visits: the diagnostic assessment, and the treatment itself with a follow-up check the day after. Where travel makes that difficult, we can sometimes schedule the assessment and treatment closer together – though never at the cost of a proper examination.
Consultations are conducted in Danish or English. If you would prefer another language, tell us when you book and we will do our best to arrange it.

EuroEyes clinics across the group
EuroEyes operates 43 clinics across Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong and the Netherlands. If a clinic in another country is more convenient for you, you can contact it directly.
Clinic listings are provided for convenience. Treatments offered, prices and regulatory conditions vary by country, and each clinic is responsible for its own patient information and consent procedures. Danish subsidy schemes such as Sygeforsikring “danmark” generally apply to treatment in Denmark only.
Planning your visit
Get in touch first
Tell us where you are travelling from and your rough dates, and we will advise what is realistic.
Send your prescription
A recent prescription or eye test result helps us judge in advance whether treatment is likely to be suitable.
Allow enough time
Plan for at least two appointments, and do not book a flight home the same day as treatment.
Aftercare at home
We will explain what follow-up you need and can coordinate with a clinic closer to you where appropriate.

Practical points
Do not fly on the day of treatment. Air travel immediately after surgery is not advisable. Allow at least a day, and follow the specific advice your surgeon gives you.
Bring your records. Any previous eye examinations, prescriptions or surgical history help us assess you accurately.
Insurance and payment. Danish subsidy schemes such as Sygeforsikring “danmark” generally apply to members only. Check with your own insurer about cover for treatment abroad.
Getting here. Copenhagen Airport is around 20 minutes from our Copenhagen clinic. See our clinic pages for detailed directions.
