Our Technology

Diagnostics decide the treatment, so the measuring equipment matters as much as the laser. Every eye is mapped in detail before anything is recommended, and the findings are gone through with you.

Diagnostics come first

Before any treatment is discussed, your eyes are measured in detail. Corneal thickness and curvature, pupil size, tear film quality and the length of the eye all influence which methods are appropriate.

These measurements are what allow your surgeon to tell you not only which options apply, but also when none of them do.

Treatment technology

Carl Zeiss VISUMAX 800

The femtosecond laser used for ReLEx SMILE Pro. It shapes a small disc of tissue within the cornea, which is removed through a 2–4 mm opening without creating a flap.
