Lens treatment

Clear Lens Exchange

Your natural lens is replaced with an artificial lens, chosen according to your visual needs and your everyday life. Because the natural lens is removed, a cataract cannot later develop in it. Lens exchange is a common treatment option once presbyopia has set in.

About Clear Lens Exchange

In Clear Lens Exchange, also called refractive lens exchange, the eye's natural lens is replaced with a premium artificial lens. The procedure is equivalent to cataract surgery, but is performed before a cataract develops. The treatment may be relevant for people over 45 who want to reduce their need for glasses.

Once the natural lens has been replaced, a cataract cannot develop in it. A multifocal or trifocal lens can also give good vision at several distances and reduce the need for glasses.

How it works

1

Measure & plan

At the free, no-obligation assessment, we take the necessary measurements so that one of our eye surgeons can choose the lens power and lens type that may be relevant for you.
