Does the health insurance "danmark" pay a subsidy?
To receive a subsidy from the health insurance "danmark", you must have been a member of Group 1, 2 or 5 with the Operation add-on for the 12 months immediately before. The subsidy is 6,000–13,000 kr. per eye. The rates are based on the health insurance "danmark" 2013 list.

An eye treatment costs between 27,000 and 54,000 kr.
The calculation is based on the following: average life expectancy in Denmark is 83 years for women and 79 years for men. The calculation is in today's money, so without general inflation, and is based on the spending you enter.
It does not take into account that glasses usually become more expensive with age. The result assumes that you have used glasses and contact lenses for the same number of years.
