Vision correction is elective surgery, so it is not covered by the Danish public health service. Many patients do, however, receive a subsidy through Sygeforsikring \u201cdanmark\u201d or a private health insurance policy, and treatment can be paid in instalments.<\/p><\/div>

Membership<\/p>

Sygeforsikring \u201cdanmark\u201d<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201cdanmark\u201d provides a subsidy towards vision correction for its members. The amount depends on which membership group you belong to and how long you have been a member.<\/p>

We can help you check your entitlement before you commit, and we provide the documentation you need. The claim itself is made by you, directly to \u201cdanmark\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Policy<\/p>

Private health insurance<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Some private policies \u2013 including those arranged through an employer \u2013 contribute towards laser or lens treatment. Others exclude elective vision correction altogether.<\/p>

Ask your insurer three things: whether refractive surgery is covered, whether pre-approval is required, and which documents they need from us.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Interest-free financing<\/h2>

Interest-free financing is available on both laser and lens treatments, so the cost can be spread over instalments rather than paid in one sum.<\/p>

At your assessment you receive the full terms in writing: the credit provider, the annual percentage rate (\u00c5OP), the number of instalments and the total amount repayable. Financing is subject to a credit assessment by the provider, not by EuroEyes.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

We can<\/strong> tell you what your treatment costs and put it in writing, explain what patients in a similar position are typically able to claim, and supply the paperwork your provider asks for.<\/p>

We cannot<\/strong> confirm what your insurer or \u201cdanmark\u201d will actually pay \u2013 only they can do that. We are not an insurance adviser and we receive no commission from insurers.<\/p>

Danish subsidy schemes such as Sygeforsikring \u201cdanmark\u201d generally apply to treatment carried out in Denmark.
